May Take it Further
The question was "What do you call yourself and why?" and the palette was a selection of pastels.
As for what I call myself, I have so many titles and labels, just like everyone else. Wife, mother, daughter, friend, crafter, quilter, blogger, and on and on and on. Each is a little part of my life but none are the whole of what makes me me.
But all together they form a more complete picture, as the shards of glass form a complete stained glass window... like those seen in a cathedral ... you see where I'm going with this???
I chose to attempt something I haven't tried before, challenging myself, and enjoyed getting back to hand work after the recent quilt blitz going on here. The Cathedral Window pattern is very nice and will make great use of all the scraps of fabric I have!
I also enjoy that I can fussy cut to my fussy little heart's content!
This is made in unbleached muslin and scraps from my stash that were the closest to the color palette as I could dig out quickly.
The finished size is 9" square and I added batting because I like the semi-tufted appearance it gives.
I followed the tutorial I found here for the pattern. It has great pictures!
One down, lots ans lots to go!

I like how you turned your thoughts into a fabric piece this month. It has been challenging to do.
I love that you used this block. We don't see it very often these days. I don't know how to make it so I will be going to the tutorial link that you posted.
I like your cathedral windows and also your reason for choosing them - a lovely way to express the idea
